Engineering, Banking/Finance and Chemicals are the main sectors preferred by the fund. 80.18% of amount is invested in equities. 52 week high and low of NAV is Rs 11.26 and Rs 8.05 respectively. NAV of the fund closed at Rs 9.90 (2 February 2012).

L & T Hedged Equity

It is an open ended large cap fund by L& T Mutual Fund. Asset size of the fund is Rs 8.11 Cr (30 Dec 2011). Fund started on 23 March 2007. Rs 5000 is the minimum investment. Anant Deep Katre is the fund manager. Fund’s one year return is (-6.3) %. Nifty’s one year return is (-3) %. 2008 was a hazardous year for global stock markets. Nifty gave a negative return of 51% in the year. Fund also gave a negative return of 53.4% in that period. 2009 was a brilliant year for Indian capital markets. Nifty gave 75% return in the year. Fund gave a return of 65.8% in that period. Fund gave 21.8% and 2.2% annualized return in the last three and two years respectively.

ICICI Bank, Housing Development Finance Corporation, ITC, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Auto, HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, Bharat Heavy Electricals, Mahindra & Mahindra, Axis Bank, Dr Reddys Laboratories, NTPC and Ultratech Cement are the top holdings of the fund. Banking/Finance, Automotive and Technology are the main sectors preferred by the fund. 84.28% of amount is invested in equities. 52 week high and low of NAV is Rs 14.35 and Rs 11.19 respectively. NAV of the fund closed at Rs 12.71 (2 February 2012).
