Tata Growth Fund

Bank of Baroda, Bajaj Auto, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation, Indraprastha Gas, Strides Arcolab, Lupin, Rain Commodities, Pfizer, Polaris Financial Technology, Amara Raja Batteries, Aditya Birla Nuvo, APL Apollo Tubes, Divis Laboratories, Oil India and Tata Global Beverages are the main sectors preferred by the fund. Banking/Finance, Pharmaceuticals and Oil & Gas are the main sectors preferred by the fund. 96.08% of amount is invested in equities. 52 week high and low of NAV is Rs 44.23 and Rs 35.43 respectively. NAV of the fund closed at Rs 39.14 (27 January 2012).

Sundram Leadership Fund

It is an open ended large cap fund by Sundram Mutual Fund. Asset size of the fund is Rs 124.83 Cr (30 Dec 2011). Fund started on 18 June 2004. Rs 5000 is the minimum investment. Fund’s one year return is (-5.8) %. Nifty’s one year return is (-7.1) %. 2008 was a horrible year for global stock markets. Nifty gave a negative return of 51% in the year. Fund also gave a negative return of 57.8% in that period. 2009 was an encouraging year for Indian capital markets. Nifty gave 75% return in the year. Fund gave a return of 69.9% in that period. Fund gave 25.1% and 4.9% annualized return in the last three and five years respectively.

Infosys, ICICI Bank, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, Reliance Industries, State Bank of India, ITC, Hindustan Unilever, Bharti Airtel, Larsen & Toubro, Grasim Industries, Tata Consultancy Services, Dr Reddys Laboratories, GAIL India, Nestle India and Infrastructure Development Finance Company are the top holdings of the fund. Banking/Finance, Oil & Gas and Technology are the main sectors preferred by the fund. 91.89% of amount is invested in equities. 52 week high and low of NAV is Rs 43.8 and Rs 35.05 respectively. NAV of the fund closed at Rs 39.15 (27 January 2012).
